Annapolis venues cluster where the city does — the historic downtown around State Circle, and the water. Historic Inns of Annapolis, the waterfront mansion at Whitehall and the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel all sit minutes apart and our booths travel to all of them. We have also run booths at Historic London Town & Gardens and Annapolis Elementary School. Historic rooms are the reason we ask about load-in early: narrow stairs, protected floors and a strict end time all change which booth fits, and it is easier to settle that in planning than on the day. Once we are in, the booth is ours to run — an onsite booth director stays with it all evening, guests leave with prints and the digital copies reach their phones before they have left the room. Anne Arundel County is our home patch, so an Annapolis load-in is a short run for us rather than a travel day, and we can usually hold a date at short notice.
