Why We Built The Booth This Way

A Video Of My Mom-Mom Would Be Priceless

“Looking back at my Bar Mitzvah decades ago, I think about how amazing it would have been to have captured photo and video memories of my family members – especially my Mom-Mom. When we started our company in 2010, we knew it would be very important to allow guests to record high-definition video clips for our clients – especially for Mom-Moms and Pop-Pops recording their well-wishes at Mitzvahs.

If a photo is worth a thousand words, how priceless would a video of my Mom-Mom be right now?”

Larry, Owner — MD Mojo Photo & Video Booths (Bar Mitzvah, September 1980)

That is not a feature we added later. It is the reason the company records video at all, and it is why a mitzvah is the event we most want the photo and video booth at.

On The Night

What A Booth Adds To A Mitzvah

One room, two very different crowds, and a long evening to fill. A booth earns its place with all of it.

Video Well-Wishes

Grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends step in and record a message to the guest of honor. This is the part families come back for years later, and it is why we built video into the booth from the start.

Something For Every Age

The kids treat it as a party game and queue up again and again. The adults use it to say something they would never say into a microphone in front of the room.

Themed To The Party

Prints, overlays and the on-screen design are built around the theme, the colors and the guest of honor's name — not a generic template with a date stamped on it.

It Fills The Gaps

Between the ceremony, the meal and the dancing there is always time to fill. The booth gives guests something to do the moment the energy dips.

Choosing A Booth

Which One Suits A Mitzvah?

The photo and video booth is the one we would put in the room first, because it is the one that records the messages. Everything else is about energy.

The 360 booth is usually the biggest draw for the kids — a queue forms and stays there. The roaming WalkAbout booth goes to the tables and catches the relatives who will never get up and join a line. For a party with a strong theme, the digital branded booth carries it across every print and screen.

Most mitzvahs we work take two booths — one that records and one that entertains. Tell us the venue and the running order and we will tell you what actually fits.
