A Message, Not Just a Pose

Most booths capture how the night looked. This one captures what people had to say about it. Guests step up, pick up the microphone and leave a short recorded message for you to watch after the event has finished — and what they say when a camera is running and nobody is watching them do it tends to be the part you keep.

It works because it asks for something different. A photo booth asks a guest to pose for a few seconds; the testimonial booth asks them a question and gives them a minute to answer it. The result is not a strip of pictures but a set of people you know, on camera, talking directly to you — the toast from the friend too nervous to give one, the aunt who flew in, the colleague who never says much.

Guests, Recorded In The Booth

Both of these came out of the booth exactly as you see them. Nobody was briefed, nobody was filmed twice, and neither clip was recorded for an advert — which is the whole point of the format, and the reason the ones from your event will be worth keeping.

Footage You Can Actually Use Afterwards

For a brand or a corporate event the testimonial booth pays for itself twice. The first time is on the night, when it gives attendees something to do that is not standing near a screen. The second is afterwards, when you have a folder of real customers, partners and staff saying something usable to camera — the footage that is normally expensive to arrange and awkward to ask for.

Everything lands in your portal afterwards, so the marketing team gets the raw clips rather than a highlight reel somebody else chose. What you do with them — landing page, social cutdowns, an internal reel — is up to you.

A Real One

Jackie and David, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club

Jackie and David chose the testimonial booth over a traditional photo booth for their Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding, and told their guest list in advance what to expect. What came back ran from tearful tributes to hilarious anecdotes, and the booth ended up one of the most talked-about parts of the evening.

Telling your guests beforehand is the part worth copying. Their guest list arrived knowing the booth was there and knowing roughly what to say into it, and the recordings are better for it.

Video Testimonial Pricing

What the Testimonial Booth Costs

The video testimonial booth is $1,395 for three hours and $195 for each additional hour, including the onsite booth director, the microphone, the backdrop and every recording uploaded to your portal afterwards.

Three hours is usually the right length rather than a starting point. Testimonials work best gathered in a concentrated window — after dinner, or across a conference reception — once guests have arrived, relaxed and had a reason to think about what to say.

There's no travel charge for events within 30 miles of 21113. Beyond that we quote it up front with your package, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Planning Around the Room

What We Need From Your Venue

Less than most people expect. Here is what to check, and what to tell us.

Space

About 10ft x 10ft, and a quieter corner than you would pick for a photo booth. Guests are speaking rather than posing, and a spot next to the speakers will cost you the audio.

Power

One dedicated circuit. The booth draws under 5 amps, but the dedicated part matters more than the number — a popcorn or cotton candy machine sharing that breaker will trip it mid-event.

Internet

Not required. The booth brings its own connectivity, and venue WiFi is a useful fallback if you have it. Let us know the venue in advance and we can arrange additional backup.

Guest flow

Around 30 sessions an hour, but worth pacing rather than rushing. A guest given a moment to think says something you will keep.

Lead time

At least 90 days for the larger experiences, so we can staff them properly. Sooner if your date is in a busy season.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Instead of posing for a photo, guests pick up a microphone and record a short spoken message for the host. Every clip is uploaded to your online portal after the event, so you watch them back once the night is over.

The photo and video booth is a booth that captures photos and HD video clips of your guests enjoying themselves. The testimonial booth asks them to say something to you directly — it is a format rather than a different machine, and the output is messages rather than pictures.

An onsite booth director is there the whole time to look after guests and get them started. It also helps to tell your guest list in advance that the booth will be there, which is what the couple did at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding we wrote up on the blog.

Yes — that is a large part of why brands book it. You get the clips themselves in your portal, so you can use them on a landing page, cut them for social or keep them internal.

Yes, on every rental. An onsite booth director sets the booth up, runs it so your guests have a great time and breaks it down at the end of the event.
