Meet the Magazine Cover

Everybody Has Pictured Themselves on a Cover

The magazine cover takes the oldest daydream at any event and prints it. Your guest steps up, poses, and their photo is laid into a full cover layout — masthead across the top, cover lines down the side, their picture running the height of the page.

It is not a border dropped over a snapshot. The cover is designed around your event before the day, so what comes out of the printer looks like an issue of something that exists, with your name on the masthead instead of ours.

Printed Before They Walk Away

The cover comes out of the booth while the guest is still standing there. That immediacy is most of the appeal — they get handed a finished cover with their own face on it, and it goes straight into a bag or under an arm for the rest of the night.

A digital copy goes to their phone by text or email at the same time, so the version that gets posted looks exactly like the one they are holding.

That matters more than it sounds. If the printed keepsake and the shared image are different crops or different quality, the one that reaches an audience is always the worse of the two.

Built for Sponsorship

A Credit Block on Every Copy

A cover has somewhere to put a sponsor that a photo strip does not. The credit sits in the layout as though it belongs there, so every copy that leaves the room carries the name of whoever paid for the activation — and guests keep it, which is more than most sponsor placements manage.

That makes it a straightforward sell for a corporate event, a gala or an awards night, where the cover can carry your honorees and your cause in the headline at the same time.

The format also solves a problem most event print has, which is that nobody keeps it. A photo strip is a souvenir of an evening; a cover with somebody's own face on it under a masthead is a small piece of flattery, and flattery gets pinned to a fridge. That is a longer life for your branding than any handout achieves.

The cover is a print format rather than a separate machine, so it runs on the booths we already own — often the Ikonic vintage booth, whose cabinet suits a formal room. Tell us the space and the guest count and we'll recommend the pairing.

Planning Around the Room

What We Need From Your Venue

Less than most people expect. Here is what to check, and what to tell us.

Space

About 10ft x 10ft is ideal, and we rarely get exactly that. Tell us what the room is really like and we will adapt to it.

Power

One dedicated circuit. The booth draws under 5 amps, but the dedicated part matters more than the number — a popcorn or cotton candy machine sharing that breaker will trip it mid-event.

Internet

Not required. The booth brings its own connectivity, and venue WiFi is a useful fallback if you have it. Let us know the venue in advance and we can arrange additional backup.

Guest flow

Around 30 sessions an hour, and we can speed it up or slow it down to suit the night.

Lead time

At least 90 days for the larger experiences, so we can staff them properly. Sooner if your date is in a busy season.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Guests pose and their photo is laid into a full magazine cover layout — your masthead across the top, cover lines down the side and the guest as the cover story — then printed on the spot as a finished cover.

That is the point of it. The masthead, the cover lines, the colors and the date all get built around your event before the day, so every copy that leaves the room is yours rather than a generic template.

Yes. The cover format has a natural credit block, so a sponsor can be named and their logo placed on every copy printed — which is why it works well for corporate and nonprofit events.

It is a print format rather than a separate machine, so it runs on our existing booths. Tell us the room and the guest count and we will recommend which one to pair it with.

Yes, on every rental. An onsite booth director sets the booth up, runs it so your guests have a great time and breaks it down at the end of the event.

There is no travel charge for events within 30 miles of 21113. Beyond that we will quote it up front with your package — no surprises on the invoice.
